Bluebird cares about our impact on the environment. When working with paper, we have chosen the following brands, not only because of our successful experience with them, but also because of their commitment on conservation.

Neenah:

Neenah Green is Neenah Paper's initiative to alleviate climate change by using cutting-edge environmental technologies to reduce its carbon footprint and by providing customers with a variety of sustainable choices. A member of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX®) and the EPA Green Power Leadership Club, Neenah is forging new ground in the environmental arena. The environmental leader's innovative approaches to sustainability include the use of Green Steam and Green-e certified renewable energy to power its mills and manufacture several of its paper brands. Through these efforts alone, Neenah has reduced natural gas consumption by 80 percent annually and has decreased carbon dioxide emissions by 150,000 metric tons at its mill in Neenah, Wis. This is the equivalent of planting 250,000 tree seedlings. In addition to manufacturing a range of recycled offerings, Neenah also produces an FSC-Pure certified brand made from 100 percent FSC-certified virgin pulp. This brand, STARWHITE®, has also achieved carbon neutral status. For more information about Neenah Green, call 1-800-558-5061 or visit the web site at www.neenahpaper.com.

Crane:
Crane does not cut down trees to make Crane papers. Crane's social and business papers are made from 100% recovered cotton fibers. These fibers are almost pure cellulose, as compared to those from trees, which are less than half. This means that cotton fibers require fewer chemicals and produce far less waste than papers made from trees. And, cotton fibers make the best paper in the world.

Mohawk:
Mohawk Fine Papers has increased its purchase of wind-generated electricity RECs from 60,000,000 kWh to 100,000,000 kWh annually. This represents 100% of all of the electric energy used for all of Mohawk's manufacturing, converting and distribution operations in New York and Ohio.

In 2003 Mohawk became one the first large-scale production facilities in the United States to use non-polluting wind-generated electricity.

All Mohawk, Beckett and Strathmore Writing and Script grades are entirely manufactured with wind-generated electricity and certified by Green-e, the nation's leading independent certification and verification program for renewable energy products.

Mohawk Fine Papers and its mills were the first in the U.S. to use wind-generated energy to manufacture paper. With many of its corporate customers seeking ways to mitigate their impacts on the environment and looking for innovative ways to highlight their socially responsible actions, Mohawk responded by developing a complete portfolio of papers manufactured with non-polluting, wind-generated electricity from wind farms in upstate New York and Pennsylvania.

Stardream:
Stardream is an environmentally responsible paper manufactured under strict environmental management systems using Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) pulp sourced from sustainable, well-managed forests.
